Every year, the RBI holds a recruitment drive to select qualified candidates for positions as Grade B officers in various branches across the country. As a result, thousands of candidates apply each year for the RBI Grade B recruitment cycle. Although the official notification has not yet been released, we can use this time wisely in our preparation.
We will go over the tentative RBI Grade B exam dates, exam pattern, and preparation tips in this blog. So, if you intend to take the RBI Exams 2022, we strongly advise you to read this article thoroughly.
When is the RBI Grade B expected.?
The RBI Grade B 2021 recruitment cycle ended in September of last year. However, due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, candidates have expressed concern about the RBI Grade B 2022 exam dates. Nonetheless, the official announcement is expected to be made early this year.
What we would advise candidates to do right now is to channel their anxiety into aceing their preparation rather than worrying about notification. The notifications will almost certainly arrive sooner rather than later.
RBI Grade B: Changes in the Exam Pattern
Last year, the RBI added a section on descriptive questions to Phase 2 of the exam. The Phase 2 exam will now include both objective and subjective questions. As a result, it is critical that you consider the new pattern before applying to the RBI exam 2022.
Changes in Phase 3 Pattern
Since RBI Grade B 2021, the weightage of the interview has been increased. The interview will now be worth 75 points instead of 50.
Where to Begin.?
Even if the notification has not been sent, your preparation should not be put on hold. You can begin preparing for the RBI Exam 2022 by doing the following:
1. When it comes to competitive exams, the first thing to remember is to understand the RBI Grade B syllabus, which has changed since the RBI Grade B exam pattern.
2. The next step is to review the RBI Grade B previous year question papers. This will give you a good idea of the current exam pattern and question trend.
RBI Grade B: Subject-wise Preparation
There are certain Tricks to Kick start your Preparations :
General Awareness
1. Make it a habit to read the newspaper every day. One newspaper should be read for general news and another for financial/banking news.
2. Invest at least two hours per day. Set aside one hour for revision and another for reading about new topics.
3. Take brief notes on the most important events because it is difficult to remember everything. This will also facilitate last-minute revision.
4. Because you are aware that General Awareness is quite broad, it is critical to focus only on relevant details so that you do not become overwhelmed. You can also test your knowledge with the GA Daily Quiz.
5. Check the RBI website on a regular basis for the most recent rules and regulations governing the financial/banking sector.
Quantitative Aptitude
1. Begin with simple topics and try to understand them thoroughly before progressing to more complex concepts.
2. Try to resolve any concept-related questions/doubts well in advance of the exam.
3. Examine your weak points and work on them as needed.
4. Do not introduce a new topic right before the exam, as this will cause confusion. Just concentrate on revision.
5. Accuracy and speed are the keys to a high score in this section.
6. Devote one hour per day to Quantitative Aptitude preparation.
7. Make short notes to help you remember formulas and short tricks, and review them on a daily basis.
8. Finally, and most importantly, practise, practise, practise.

English Language
1. To achieve a high score in this section, concentrate on the fundamentals of English grammar. A solid understanding of grammar will aid you in answering questions about error detection, tenses, and active/passive voice.
2. Read newspapers, articles, magazines, and books to expand your vocabulary.
3. Make reading a habit to improve your speed. This will assist you with the Reading Comprehension questions.
Reasoning Ability
1. Concentrate on topics such as syllogism, ranking, blood relations, direction sense, puzzle, seating arrangement, coding and decoding, and so on.
2. Practice seating arrangements and puzzles on a daily basis to improve your speed and accuracy, as these questions carry the highest weightage.
3. Begin with simple questions and work your way up to puzzles and seating arrangements.
4. Make a list of short tricks and go over them every day.
